Special Issue on Smart Living in Healthcare and Innovations

This special issue aims to investigate the smart living in healthcare applications and innovations. The smart living could be realized and intended to be a large-scale living lab experiment for many novel technologies and smart-living services, involving many people with these services, and then transforming these services and enriched experience to enabling relevant eco-systems. Thus, the smart living concepts could collaborate and share the key functions of entire healthcare value chain. However, there are still many challenging problems in improving the design, platform, model and service of smart living technologies employing healthcare concepts and techniques, and new problems are also emerging with new applications. Therefore, the issue will explore how individuals or hospitals can gain benefits by using healthcare innovations in real-world settings through exploitation of smart living technologies. It will also encourage research that uses empirical studies to present the fundamental theory, techniques, applications and practical experiences in the context of designing, implementing or evaluating the Living Labs that take advantage of advances in healthcare domain. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Cloud healthcare
• Connected healthcare
• Interactive healthcare
• Design, implementation and evaluation of smart applications
• Ambient intelligence
• Intelligent healthcare
• Virtual healthcare
